The intention and purpose of this figurative work both sculptures and paintings was created to reflect our humanity and its many facets. The goal is to instill an appreciation and understanding of our similar emotional, psychological, and economic struggles.

 

The focus of these sculptures is to represent our common traits. These emotional and psychological traits become the common thread of the imagery depicted through the abstracted human form. I have purposefully chosen mixed media to relay these human traits through multiple ways of seeing the human form.

 

My hope is to visually enable people to appreciate and understand that which are the shared connections of our humanity. To help the viewer realize the similarities, ending the numerous labels and false identities which we attach to each other, rather than focusing on perceived differences.
